Both the Sabers JV and Varsity teams saw their season records fall to 1-1 as each team lost close games on Tuesday night against the Mountain View Eagles.
In the JV game, the Sabers dug themselves out of an early hole and had a chance to tie in the finals seconds, but a three point attempt was no good. Kyle MacDonald scored 15 points and Brandon Rafferty added 13 in the 46-43 loss.
The Varsity team let a lead slip away, eventually falling to the Eagles by the score of 60-56. Andrzej Tomczyk led the Sabers with 32 points and Dan Biegert added 11 points and 8 rebounds.
The Sabers return to action on Wednesday night when they travel to Mid Valley to face the Spartans. JV Game time slated to begin at 6:00 PM.
