Garret Grausgruber's season-high of 17 points were not quite enough to lead the JV Sabers to a victory on Thursday night in their home division opener against the Forest City Foresters. Jack Avery also hit for 14 points in the 51-45 defeat.
Tyler Williams recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, while Christian Miller tallied 9 points as the Sabers dropped their second straight division game 58-28. The loss drops the Sabers record to 3-7, 0-2 on the season.
The Sabers return to action on Friday night against the visiting Carbondale Chargers. JV game time is set for 6:00 PM.
