The Susquehanna Sabers boy's basketball team hosted Montrose on Tuesday night and suffered two defeats, with the JV team falling 55-37 and the Varsity losing 70-57.
The JV team (5-3) found themselves in a tight ball game in the second half, only to fade late in their 55-37 loss. Luke Falletta and Steve Frye each scored 9 points for the Sabers.
Andrzej Tomczyk led the Sabers (7-4, 1-2) with 30 points, 4 steals and 3 assists in the nightcap, but it wasn't enough in the 70-57 defeat. Josh Wheeler added 11 points, while Mark Zappe recorded a team-high 7 rebounds.
The Sabers are off until Friday when they travel to Mountain View to play the Eagles. JV game time is 6:00 PM.
