The Susquehanna Sabers saw their 2014-2015 season come to a conclusion on Tuesday night at Pittston Area HS, as the MMI Preppers defeated the Sabers 60-43 to advance in the PIAA D2 A Playoffs.
Sophomore Tyler Williams scored 16 points and pulled down 7 rebounds, including 6 offensive rebounds, while senior Luke Falletta hit 3 three-pointers as part of his 11 point effort. Senior Christian Miller scored 9 points and grabbed a team-high 8 rebounds and Austin Felter handed out a team-high 4 assists. Senior Brady Towner scored 7 points and Kasey Burdick added two rebounds.
Thank you to all of the players for the hard work they put in and the sacrifices that they made throughout the season, as well as to the parents and fans who supported the team.

Away vs. Forest City
The Sabers JV and Varsity basketball teams concluded their regular seasons on Friday night at Forest City by dropping a pair of games to the Foresters.
Brady Towner's 9 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists were not enough as the Varsity Sabers came up short by the final of 44-40. Tyler Williams led the team with 12 points, while Christian Miller scored 10 points and pulled down 8 rebounds. The team finishes the season with a 5-17, 2-10 record.
Garret Grausgruber scored 11 points and Brock Blodgett scored 10 points in the JV Sabers 47-35 loss.
The Sabers will begin the District II Class A playoffs on Tuesday night against MMI Prep. The game will be played at Pittston Area High School at 6:00 PM.

Away vs. Mountain View
Despite 13 points and 8 rebounds from Luke Falletta, the Sabers saw their season record slide to 5-16, 2-9 on the season on Thursday night as they dropped a 40-38 decision to the Mountain View Eagles. Fellow seniors Christian Miller (8 points, 9 rebounds), Austin Felter (8 points, 4 assists), Kasey Burdick (6 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists) and Brady Towner (3 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists) rounded out the statistical contributions.
Garret Grausgruber's season-high 22 points were not enough as the JV Sabers dropped a 51-47 decision to the Eagles. Brock Blodgett contributed 8 points.
The Sabers finish out their regular season on Friday night at Forest City. JV game time is 6:00 PM.

Home vs. Blue Ridge
Tyler Williams nailed a foul line jumper with 2.1 seconds remaining in overtime to give the Sabers a 54-53 victory over the visiting Blue Ridge Raiders on Tuesday night. The basket proved to be the final difference as the Raiders ensuing inbounds pass was deflected and stolen to seal the victory.
Luke Falletta hit 5 three-pointers on his way to a team-high 18 points. Williams tallied 17 points, going a perfect 6-6 at the free throw line and Austin Felter handed out a career-high 9 assists. Christian Miller scored 12 points and Brady Towner pulled down a team-high 5 rebounds.
The team honored seniors Kasey Burdick, Luke Falletta, Austin Felter, Christian Miller, Brad Sherman and Brady Towner before the game as part of the 2015 Senior Night ceremony.
The JV Sabers dropped their content with the Raiders 31-21. Garret Grausgruber and Christian Burke each scored 7 points for the Sabers.
The Sabers travel to Mountain View on Thursday night to take on the Eagles. JV game time is 6:00 PM.

Away vs. Montrose, Home vs. Elk Lake
The Sabers lost a pair of decisions on Friday and Saturday nights as their record fell to 4-15, 1-8 on the season. The Montrose Meteors delivered a 61-32 loss on Friday, while the Elk Lake Warriors defeated the Sabers at home on Saturday night 58-42.
Luke Falletta and Tyler Williams combined to score 23 of the 32 points on Friday night against Montrose. Austin Felter handed out 3 assists. Falletta pulled down a team high 6 rebounds.
Christian Miller and Tyler Williams each scored 11 points on Saturday night against Elk Lake. Austin Felter tallied 7 points, while Luke Falletta and Kasey Burdick each scored 6 points. Williams and Miller each secured 5 rebounds for the Sabers.
The Sabers will host the Blue Ridge Raiders on Tuesday night in their last home game of the regular season. Six seniors will honored before the Varsity game, which is set to tip at approximately 7:30.
